Water Quality Monitoring and Surveillance
Short summary of the proposal: The project aims to improve the health of the Lebanese population by confirming high quality, sustainable national water quality testing, monitoring and assessment in different areas around Lebanon. The main objective of the project is to raise awareness on the importance of water quality within the Lebanese society. The project leads will work with local and international NGOs to mobilize community members, members of the UOB-LEWAP student chapter, youth groups and water professionals Region to participate in different water quality monitoring and accounting activities, workshops, and seminars. We will focus on building an international education and outreach program that builds public awareness and contribution in protecting water resources around the world by engaging residents to carry out basic monitoring of their local water bodies. In this context, educational materials with emphasis on water quality and its importance to support University instructors in their established teaching curriculum.
