The Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK) has been allocated a Jean Monnet project following the publication of the selection results of the Erasmus+ 2017 call for proposals. The project consists of a teaching module on “Europe and the MENA region: Issues and Challenges in the Trans-Mediterranean Relations” and is led by Ambassador Nassif Hitti.
Jean Monnet Activities are part of the EU Erasmus+ programme and promote excellence in teaching and research in the field of European Union studies worldwide.
New Jean Monnet projects can be submitted by any Lebanese higher education institution under the next Erasmus+ call for proposals, which will be published in October 2017.
A Jean Monnet Chair was first established at the University Saint Joseph between 2001 and 2007 and was managed by Professor Chibli Mallat.
