NEO Lebanon attended the kick-off meeting of the CBHE project SWaTH “Sustainable wastewater treatment for Hospitals” on 8-9 February 2021 in presence of all partners. A total of 67 participants attended the opening session on day 1 including stakeholders from the Lebanese community outside the project consortium. The project aims at providing an appropriate hospital wastewater treatment technology that aims to remove problematic particles or compounds in order to prevent having them diluted with residential wastewater streams. The project is coordinated by the University of Balamand and includes the following partners from Lebanon: Lebanese American University, Notre Dame University-Louaize, Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, Lebanese University. The consortium includes 6 partners from programme countries (Universidad De Granada in Spain, Kungliga Tekniska Hoegskolan in Sweden, Universite De La Rochelle in France, Universidad De Llieda in Spain, Oulun Yliopisto in Finland, Plasmatrix Materials AB in Sweden).
