On Wednesday March 17, an exciting webinar on “Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange” by the consortium that implemented the project between 2018-2020 was held online.
Erasmus+ Virtual Exchange is a ground-breaking project enabling youth in Europe and the Southern Mediterranean to engage in meaningful intercultural experiences online, as part of their formal or non-formal education.
The event started with opening remarks from Ms. Antoaneta Angelova-Krasteva, Director for Innovation, Digital Education and International Cooperation, DG EAC and Ms. Sophie Beernaerts, Head of Department for Erasmus+, EU Solidarity Corps, EACEA. This was followed by a panel discussion and Q&A session. Amongst the questions that were addressed during the meeting: How did the project foster mutual understanding between Europe and the Southern Mediterranean? How did the project help participants develop their skills? How can virtual exchanges make intercultural experiences available to a larger number of young people? What impact did COVID-19 have on the project? Was the project successful? How to ensure high-quality in virtual exchanges experiences?
More than 100 participants attended the webinar.
